Australian Museum 2018

Owning our future

Can we create an RSS feed for Museum 2018? An RSS feed will allow me to partitition the comings and goings and the discussions of the group that I have joined away from my mail inbox.

all you need to do is go to the bottom of each page where there is a little envelope that says "follow me - notify when updated" (or something like that) - make sure that box is ticked.
Let's have a look this arvo at our meeting John, because I'm an Administrator my page looks slightly different and I need to see what another memebr's page is called

Sorry, but I can't make it this afternoon.
The little letter symbol at the bottom of the page is one way of following a discussion. If you use this I get an email message telling me that something has been added to the discussion.
I like RSS feeds because they DON"T go to my email. Instead I get a one line summary of the addition to any discussion, which I can immediately expand to about 4 lines if I want. There is also a link to take me directly to the discussion.
The other beauty of an RSS feed, is for the voyeur. All the traffic and chattering of a discussion is collated and abbreviated in one spot, allowing one to observe a precis of the entire discussion without having to actually visit the site. This precis is kept by default.
If you want you can keep your RSS feed reader open all the time, or visit it occasionally and catch up on all the different and various discussions that you might subscribe to.
